# FoodBetween.us > Free group restaurant finder. Enter everyone's starting location and max drive time — get real restaurants scored by how fair the commute is for the whole group. No account required. ## What it does FoodBetween.us solves the "where should we eat?" problem for groups where people are coming from different places. Instead of picking a restaurant convenient for one person, it finds venues that are a genuinely fair drive for everyone. - Enter 2–6 people's locations (city, address, or ZIP) - Set each person's maximum travel limit in minutes or miles (default: 30 min) - Optionally filter by cuisine, price range, or minimum rating - Get up to 5 real restaurants with a fairness score and per-person drive time ## How fairness scoring works Each restaurant starts at 100 points. Points are deducted when someone's drive exceeds their stated limit, and for uneven travel distribution (one person driving much farther than others). The top-scoring restaurant is the one that's most fair for the whole group. ## Key features - **Real drive times** via Google Distance Matrix API (not straight-line guesses) - **Traffic-aware** — optionally set a meal time (breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner) to factor in live traffic predictions - **Cuisine & price filters** — all optional - **Squad Room** — collaborative mode where each person joins via a shared link and adds their own location on their device - **Free** — no account, no signup ## Common use cases - Two friends from different parts of a city wanting to meet for lunch - A family gathering where people are driving from different towns - A work team distributed across a metro area planning a dinner - Any group where fairness of commute matters ## Pages - / — Main search tool - /about.html — How it works - /contact.html — Contact (bug reports, suggestions) - /privacy.html — Privacy policy
